About This Project

Transplant is a body of work that was created out of necessity while attempting to get to know a new to me landscape and life in the Pacific Northwest. Growing up in a New England military family the reality of relocation and moving home is not unknown to me. Because of that I have always considered home to be a mutable feeling and nothing more. These images were made to be part document of my wonder, isolation, personal struggles with anxiety and fear of the unknown. While I am experienced in beginning again and always considered myself someone who is not afraid of change the process of making transplant has allowed me to confront the strangeness of transferring my roots to new soil.
