Chomp was a project for Dig Publishing that featured chefs and line cooks from some of Boston’s most popular and interesting restaurants. Our intention was to pay homage to the people who actually create the dishes, burn their fingers and break their backs to cook us all amazing meals. In addition to portraits of the cooks it was my job to photograph their hands and favorite kitchen tool. The publication also featured recipes, a story about meeting Julia Child and other insights into the normally unseen back of the house. The project was very educational and rewarding to work on for me. Chomp was also successful enough that it became a regularly featured column in The Weekly Dig.
